Xeoma archive mapped drive does not save3/20/2023 ![]() One side note, the part where you leave your password blank isn't really necessary, but leaving the password blank. The next time you restart Windows your network drive should reconnect. Enter the correct password, check the 'Remember my credentials' box, then click OK. I figure it is a stupid mistake on my part.but I am not very familiar with non-Windows operating systems and non-Windows mappings. After you do that you will get a new pop up that looks like the one below. Including using "//172.16.7.225/Data/CamData/", where Data is the name of the share and CamData is the highest directory".doesn't work, won't save the directory name. Including using "\\172.16.7.225\Data\CamData\", where Data is the name of the share and CamData is the highest directory".doesn't work, won't save the directory name. Including mapping a Windows share as drive X and using "x:\CamData\" to save video, share is mapped with full permissions.doesn't work, error "failed to create directory." I have tried everything that I could think of, and found on the site, in an attempt to start archiving the video to this NAS and I cannot get any of them to work. This NAS has SMB, NFS, FTP, etc capability. I have an existing Netgear ReadyNAS that has plenty of storage. on another PC/device/USB drive) and use it to restore everything if. ![]() I would like to move away from locally installed drives if possible. The bank card information is not saved or stored. I am planning on expanding the number of cameras that I used from 8 to 16 all of which are 4MP so 4 TB of space is not going to enough for me to work with. I currently write to a locally mirrored pair of 4 TB drives. I currently use the preview and archive module to save video files to a locally installed hard drive into the folder "d:\CamData\". I have been running Xeoma (latest version) on Windows 10 for a while now. Unfortunately, I have yet to be able to save completed files to mapped drives. Since Deluge is on a VM with little drive space, I have it caching / saving incompletes locally, but have set the path to save complete media to a mapped drive. Don't hassle them if things don't work in relation to the container, etc.I searched around and could not find an answer that provided the information that I need so here goes. As I have in the past, I created labels and have each set to copy downloaded files into a specific folder. This project is a personal pet project that FelenaSoft is aware of, but offer no support for it. If you find bugs that are related to the actual software or cameras, etc then contact FelenaSoft. So if you find any bugs with the software that are related to the docker container, let me know and I'll investigate. I don't work for FelenaSoft, I just own a license. This probably can be changed to not be so insecure, but I haven't done it yet. Notesĭue to how many security cameras work, this needs to be on the host network stack. Config/license is carried across between containers being recreated. UpgradingĪs long as you have your /usr/local/Xeoma mapped to a volume, then you can safely stop, remove and start up new containers. It's pretty great cheap software - give it a go!Įnsure you are using a volume before you install the license, otherwise if you need to stop/recreate or upgrade later, you will lose your license file (meaning you will need to contact FelenaSoft to reset it). I mapped it in file explorer using \\xx.xx.xxx.xxx\folder and have checked the box for save these. I am trying to set up a new surface pro 4 using windows 10 pro build 1803 and it keeps asking for credentials everytime i log out and in on the SP4. ![]() You can use it in a trial mode, however the free mode disables remote access, so pointless using with docker. I have a mapped drive point to a static IP address for a server to enable file access when offsite. To access your xeoma server, simply download the same version from and set it up to connect to a remote server using the password generated.
